OUR STORY
By Broadcasters, For Broadcasters. When our team came together to form 42Streams, we had a clear vision to help broadcasters make a smooth transition from traditional terrestrial or satellite broadcast to IP (Internet) broadcast.
Combining broadcast & cloud experience from the team, we have set out to built the easiest to use OTT platform to deliver high quality broadcast content across the world, over IP.
OUR VISION
Simplify Complexity. Enabling our customers to 'go OTT' without having to become experts in protocols, encoders, content delivery, CORS, ports etc.
Our platform takes out the complexity of launching an OTT platform by automating, the workflow process.
We will eventually build an OTT services marketplace where you can buy different workflow applications from some of the best technology providers in the world.
We believe in the tenants enshrined in the American Declaration of Independence and we adhere to the Constitution of the United States of America. To this end we will not EVER censor LEGAL content delivered or provisioned via our services. While we reserve the Right to find content disagreeable we also accept the Responsibility to protect it (Free Speech and Free Expression).
The fine print: Because we provide services in multiple countries we are compelled to honor the laws of those countries (when physically provisioning services within their borders). This means we may be compelled to censor content that would not otherwise be censored in the United States of America.
OUR TECHNOLOGY
Our core technology is Director, an API Orchestration solution that smartly integrates core services with 3rd party micro-services to offer an end-to-end OTT platform.
Director is comprised of APIs, Connectors, Log aggregators, Rules Engines etc., to ensure that whatever you publish, whatever you do, is secure, efficient, and optimized for performance and economy.
Our CDN and delivery services are provided by a combination of our own infrastructure and that of our trusted partners.
Throughout our stack, while we adhere strongly to the open source ethos, we leverage proprietary services stack where it makes sense to do so. 42Streams' rich service set includes proven software such as Ubuntu, Debian, FFMpeg and NGINX, as well as technology partners AWS, Wowza and Wasabi.
